Chicago Police Officer Audrey Wilson Tells her Remarkable story of recovery inside Hope Today Magazine
In an recent interview with Hope Today Magazine, Audrey Wilson goes into great detail of how at the vibrant age of 31, her blood pressure skyrocketed, feelings of fatigue, nausea, and the temporary loss of sight occurred within hours. All were signs and indications of what doctors later diagnosed as the often deadly Kidney Disease, Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis. After the diagnosis, Officer Wilson would lead a normal life for nine years. In May 2003, Audrey's kidneys deteriorated to the lowest percentage of functioning which indicated that she would have to endure dialysis treatments until a suitable kidney was available. After two heartbreaking false starts, she received a healthy kidney from a familiar face. Hope Today Magazine sits down with Audrey Wilson two years after the successful surgery as she reflects on her life: past, present, and future.
