Bishop Clarence E. McClendon
Retooled for a New Revival
By Bishop John C. Parks

God has anointed a few great men and women to usher in the great healing ministries of our time. Now, God wants to do it again

in even greater measure. He promises, “The glory of the latter house will be greater than the glory of the former house…” (Haggai 2:9).

Revival in a Christian context generally refers to a specific period of spiritual awakening in the life of Christians. While elements such as spiritual renewal and major changes on the moral climate of a given culture may be involved, the key factor in revival is the restoration of the Church to a vital and fervent relationship with God and the fulfillment of the will of God based on His word. Not since the Azusa Street Revival has there been a great revival or awakening in the African American church. The Azusa Street Revival was a movement that changed the religious landscape and became the most vibrant force for world evangelization in the 20th Century. We have been afforded the opportunity in the 20th and now the 21st Century of being fed spiritually, taught and pastored by great and prolific preachers, led by men/women of vision, and experienced the explosion in a number of mega-churches. However, no greater revival or awakening has been on the horizon in the African American church.

Since Azusa, there has been the revival of healing in the white Christian church. Our counterparts have experienced the great healing ministries of Oral Roberts, A.A Allen and recently Benny Hinn. However, no one has exploded on the national scene in this great move of healing in the African American church. Since God is no respecter of person, one could only expect that God would usher in an era of a major healing ministry in the African American community on a similar scale. To this day, no one has shown up. But, a close study of God would show that He has always had someone backstage preparing for their entrance for some major revival. Normally, God sends the person through a season of tests, trials, and severe obstacles to overcome. Similarly as in the Bible stories, most of these men and women were assumed no longer vital and or on occasion became content with the status quo, but God always retooled them and raised them at His appointed time. They were retooled and preparation to meet a special need and complete God’s plan for His people. Such was the case with Moses, Joseph, Elijah, etc.

Located in California- the state whose motto is “Eureka: I’ve Found It!” - is a man that has been hand selected by God to shake up the kingdom. He has spent the last four years being remolded and retooled for a great healing revival in the African American community. His name is Bishop Clarence E. McClendon of the Full Harvest International Church and Clarence E. McClendon Ministries.

God granted Bishop McClendon fame at a young age in ministry. Then, God moved him to the backside of the desert like Moses to prepare him for this major awakening. Now, he has been retooled and is ready to take center stage to lead us into a new era of healing and restoration in the African American and Latino Community.
